Graduation season is here, and a cap-and-gown session is one of the easiest ways to capture this milestone in a classic, timeless way. Whether you’re a senior, a college grad, or a proud parent planning photos, here’s everything you need to know to get great graduation portraits—without stress.

ROLLINS COLLAGE is renowned for its stunning lakeside campus in Winter Park, Florida. Nestled along the shores of Lake Virginia, the 80-acre campus blends historic Mediterranean-style architecture with modern facilities, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere for photos.
FIELD SESSIONS are a great choice for cap and gown photos because they provide a natural, open, and timeless setting that enhances the significance of the moment.
The open sky reduces harsh shadows, ensuring a more balanced and glowing look.
Fields provide a clean and simple backdrop, allowing the graduate to be the main focus.

We can't book your cap and gown photo shoot unless you have your cap and gown. Due to many rescheduling problems in the past, we ask you to book your photo shoot when you get your cap and gown.
30 min session is all we need for your cap and gown photoshoot. I ask you not to be late to your photo shoot.
Your final edited gallery will be delivered within 2–5 days after your session.
What do you look for in a dress for Graduation. Form fitting!!
The graduation gown is large and doesn't give much shape to anyone.
So it's best to show off your waist and curves with a tighter dress.
A lot of girls love to wear white dresses, which is timeless and always looks fabulous.
Start with the “timeless” base outfit. Pick one clean, fitted look that will still look good years from now.
Button-down shirt (white, light blue, or subtle stripe) simple dress shirt (no loud patterns).
Best colors (especially for photos) neutrals + deep tones photograph best: navy, charcoal, white, cream, beige, olive, burgundy. Avoid neon colors—they can reflect onto your face. If your gown is a strong color (royal blue, red, etc.), keep the outfit underneath simple and neutral.
Pants & fit matter more than people think
Go for tailored/slim/straight fit (not overly tight, not baggy).
Shoes (don’t forget these)! Choose shoes that match the vibe.
Essentials
Cap + gown (steam or wrinkle-release spray recommended)
Tassel (make sure it’s attached the right way)
Stole, cords, medals (honors, clubs, Greek life, etc.)
Diploma cover (or a prop “diploma” scroll if you don’t have it yet)

Bouquet of flowers
Confetti poppers (easy clean-up ones)
Balloons (grad year or school colors)
Champagne/cider for a “pop” shot (only where allowed)
School items: letterman jacket, jersey, college hoodie, year book
Touch-up kit
Blotting sheets or powder (helps reduce shine)
Lip color for reapplication
Comb/brush, bobby pins, hair spray
Safety pins/fashion tape (great for stoles and gowns)
Lint roller (gowns love lint)
